My Thoughts:
At first, I thought this book was a bit weird. Really, the only
reason why I was reading it was because it was by one of my favorite authors,
L.J Smith, and I had just finish some of her other books, like Night World. It really wasn’t going for
me with the cliché of the main character liking her friend’s boyfriend.
Let me tell you that I was wrong about thinking it was weird!
I really like the L.J. Smith’s style of writing, so even if I
still thought it was weird, I’d still like it. But, I liked it for other
reasons too.
I loved the main character, Cassie, and how she gets around being
in a new place, and then learning about what she really is, a witch.
I also liked that although Faye seemed like a enemy, she really
wasn’t that bad.
Oh, I almost forgot! The romance… That part was especially great,
since I’m a huge romantic.
Anybody who liked L.J. Smith’s other books like The Vampire Diaries, Night World, Dark
Visions, should read this book/ volume. And if you’re a romance fan like
me, you need to certainly read this book and the others that have come out, or are
coming out.
I hope you take my word for it!
P.S. I realize that this is now a TV. series, but I’d rather read the
book than watch the show, anytime.
